The agroeconomic modelling group of the Technical University of Madrid is looking for a PhD candidate interested in agroeconomic modelling. The group is involved in innovative research on agricultural sustainability, ranging from bioeconomic analysis at the farm level to global integrated assessment modelling and the development of future scenarios of how to feed the world in a sustainable way and within planetary boundaries.
The selected candidate will:
- Actively contribute to research projects in the fields of agricultural sustainability and the water-food nexus, participating in data collection and processing, modelling activities and drafting of scientific and policy reports.
- Contribute to the analysis of specific case studies, combining quantitative and participatory research methods.
- Be involved in the further development of economic models for the assessment of agricultural sustainability at multiple scales, from the farm to the global level.
- Enrol in the TAPAS Doctoral Programme and develop peer-reviewed scientific papers under the supervision of experienced researchers.
